Designed by Steve Field & myself, build by Steve in "The Shed" with the help of Lesley

The Chassis was bought as a altered kit from John Hall, and then I had a change of mind and we (Steve & myself) had to re design it. This was done in 1/3rd scale on some white wall paper, after a few attempts we came up with something I was happy with. The front end will look as close as we can to the Crescent Coupe with 90 inches from the front of the engine to the drop tube, this is so the front end don't look too short if we kept the wheelbase to 140 " like the original, mine is set for 162 " (The extra 22 " is the length of the gearbox)

Steve & Lesley set up the bottom rail on his chassis jig, he then set up the rear axle and the back stays to the design.

As I had ordered up a altered top tube, they had to wait for me to come up so we could redesign it to suit, we drew it on the plan one way and it just did not look right, so we turned it over and had another go, this time it looked good. We bent it up and fitted it to the back stays and set at the right height at the front. The front uprights were cut and fitted, then it was the axle mount, rear uprights and the kidney bars.

This is as far as its got, with the roll cage and steering systems which will be fitted next

The safety cell has now been finished and Tagged down to 7.50
